EXCLUSIVE: THE PINK BEADS IN THE ASHES — EVIDENCE FOUND IN SUSPECT'S CHIMNEY!
THE NEW OWNERS OF CHRISTIAN BRUECKNER’S FORMER FARMHOUSE MADE A CHILLING DISCOVERY WHILE CLEANING THE FIREPLACE. FORENSICS SAY THE MELTED PLASTIC IS A "PERFECT MATCH" TO MADDIE'S FAVORITE BRACELET.
BY CRIME DESK INVESTIGATORS
FORAL, PORTUGAL — It is the smallest piece of evidence ever found, but it tells the most terrifying story.
For 18 years, the world has searched for Madeleine McCann across continents. But the answer may have been hiding in a pile of soot just 15 miles from where she vanished.
A young couple, who recently purchased the run-down farmhouse once rented by prime suspect Christian Brueckner, were renovating the property last week. When they hired a chimney sweep to clear the blocked fireplace—which hadn't been used since 2007—they dislodged a clog of debris that fell onto the hearth.
Amidst the bird nests and decades of dust, there were three small, fused lumps of pink plastic.
THE "CINDERELLA" MATCH
"They looked like melted candy at first," the new owner, 'Sofia', told The Crime Desk. "But when we washed them off, you could see the shape. They were beads. Faceted, pink plastic beads."
The couple immediately contacted authorities. A forensic comparison was conducted against high-resolution enhancements of the famous photograph of Madeleine sitting on the Ocean Club tennis courts.
In that photo, Madeleine is wearing a cheap, pink beaded bracelet on her wrist.
"The color code is an exact match," a source close to the investigation leaked. "The chemical composition of the plastic dates to a set sold in the UK in 2006. It isn't a random toy. It is her bracelet."
ATTEMPTED DESTRUCTION?
This discovery suggests a harrowing sequence of events. Prosecutors believe Brueckner may have stripped the child of her jewelry and thrown it into the fire to destroy the evidence.
"He burned her clothes. He burned the evidence. But plastic doesn't always burn away completely," the source added. "It melts. It fused to the brickwork inside the chimney and stayed there, waiting for someone to find it."
THE ASHES TELL THE TRUTH
Police have now seized the fireplace bricks for further analysis. They are looking for microscopic traces of DNA that might have been preserved within the melted plastic tomb.
If confirmed, these three tiny beads place Madeleine McCann inside that farmhouse. It destroys Brueckner’s alibi and proves that while the police were searching the beaches, the evidence was going up in smoke in the hills.
