Tess Crosley has set tongues wagging after eagle-eyed fans dug up an awkward Instagram exchange between her and former Brisbane Lions captain, Lachie Neale.
The glamorous influencer, who was best friends with Neale’s estranged wife, Jules, has deleted most photographs with the former couple, but one remaining post has caused a stir.
Back in August, Crosley, the Neales, and another woman visited the Sirromet Winery and Harry Potter Forbidden Forest experience in Mount Cotton.
“I solemnly swear I’m up to no good,” Crosley captioned the post, in reference to a famous line from the Harry Potter films.
While comments on the post have been limited, Lachie’s comment from when the post went live remains.
“Password: Dumbledore,” the 32-year-old AFL star wrote.
Following the drama surrounding Neale’s marriage split, people are seeing the exchange in a different light.
“This aged well,” one commenter humorously replied.
On Friday, following weeks of speculation, Neale confirmed his split from Jules after six years of marriage. He also confirmed he was stepping down as Brisbane Lions co-captain.
“I can confirm with regret that Jules and I have now separated,” Neale told a press conference.
“While I won’t go into specifics, I can say that I have let my family down and I apologise for my actions that have let down those that are closest to me. And for that, I am deeply sorry.
“I accept the consequences of my actions, and I need to focus on rebuilding that trust with Jules as the future well-being of our children remains our number one priority.”
When asked directly whether he had been unfaithful to his wife, Neale responded: “No, I can’t address those rumours”.
Jules has removed all photographs of Neale - as well as Crosley - from her Instagram page, and publicly demanded Crosley do the same.
In September, Crosley shared a photo with Jules, Lachie, as well as her husband Ben Crosley from the Lions’ AFL final celebrations.
Last month, Jules commented on the post: “Take these (pictures) down you idiot you’re embarrassing yourself.”
The post has now been deleted.
The saga then deepened when Jules publicly responded to a report that she and Lachie were having issues in their marriage.
“I want to make it very clear that I am not ‘working through’ anything,” she told her Instagram followers.
“I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way. All I can do now is try to heal and do what’s best for my children. Thank you for the love and support.”
Lachie and Jules have been married since 2018 and share two children: Piper, four, and Freddie, one.
