One of the toddlers critically inj::ured in the Sunshine Coast horr::or crash has lost her fight for life. The dump truck ploughed through traffic, and the devastating impact on the stationary family car proved f::atal. The heartbreaking reality for the family has just been confirmed.....

One of the two toddlers critically injured after a dump truck ploughed into multiple vehicles has died in hospital.

Emergency crews raced to the scene in Banya on Queensland's Sunshine Coast about 11.40am last Thursday after a Mitsubishi Fuso truck collided with a silver Nissan Qashqai.

The truck continued along Banya Avenue before crashing into the rear of a blue Haval station wagon, stopped at traffic lights at the intersection with Great Keppel Way.

Two vehicles in front of the station wagon, were also struck.

Ineza King, 3, and her sister Itahe, 1, were in the back seat of the station wagon and among seven people injured.

Ineza was airlifted to Queensland Children's Hospital, where she lost her fight for life on Wednesday.

Her little sister remains in a critical condition in the same hospital.

Their mother was also injured but has since been released from hospital.

Ineza's heartbroken family has paid tribute.

'True to her name, which means kindness, Ineza was full of life and energy,' a statement read.

'She loved her family and friends, outdoor adventures, bedtime stories, and having her beautiful hair styled by her mummy.

'Ineza's favourite saying, "sharing is caring", reflects her beautiful spirit.'

A fundraiser set up by friends urged everyone to keep the family in their prayers.

'We are asking for support to help ease the financial burden so we can focus on being by the little one's side as we prepare to farewell our precious girl,' the page stated.

'Our hearts are broken, but they are also full of gratitude for every moment we were given with her.

'Funds raised will go towards hospital and rehabilitation costs, travel and accommodation while she is in care, time off work, and any specialised equipment or therapy she may need in the months and years ahead.'

Off-duty doctor Marcio Brussius Coelho raced to the scene and provided first aid to Ineza until an emergency helicopter arrived.

'Quite, I'd say, emotional as a father and having kids that age as well,' Mr Coelho told Seven News last week.

'But at the moment, you just have to do what you need to as a doctor.'

Forensic Crash Unit investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.

Anyone with information or footage is urged to call Crime Stoppers.
