While the Brisbane Lions partners publicly rally around Jules Neale, new "cryptic photos" of Tess Crosley have surfaced—and they contain a hidden detail that has everyone talking. The "bizarre message" buried in the images adds a twisted new layer to the scandal that no one expected.

Tess Crosley has been spotted without her wedding ring as partners of Brisbane Lions players rally around Jules Neale following the breakdown of her marriage.

The fallout from the off-season AFL scandal has seen Lachie Neale step down as co-captain of the Brisbane Lions, confirming he had separated from Jules when he fronted the media last week.

The dual Brownlow Medallist was seen moving into a new home this week after he and Jules vacated their family home in Brisbane in the wake of the saga over the Christmas period.

Jules travelled back to Western Australia to be with her family but has been spotted back in Brisbane — Jules and Lachie share two young children, Piper and Freddie.

Crosley, a practising Mormon from Brisbane, became embroiled in the Neale saga in late December after it was reported she fell out with Jules amid an “unimaginable betrayal” within the Neales’ marriage.

Jules, a successful hairdresser and entrepreneur from Perth who has two young children with Lachie, has since wiped both her husband and her former close friend Tess from her Instagram page, with all photos of the pair deleted.

Jules commented on a recent Instagram post of Tess, calling her out for not deleting the pictures of the Brisbane Lions’ grand final celebrations in September, which contained both her and Lachie, the AFL club’s now former captain.

“Take these (pictures) down, you idiot you’re embarrassing yourself,’’ Jules wrote in a comment that has since been deleted

Crosley has been seen back in Queensland following a getaway with her son at Christmas, and she was not wearing her wedding ring when she was spotted out and about on Tuesday grabbing lunch and a coffee in Brisbane.

She wore a white tank top, navy trackpants and gold framed sunglasses.

Crosley has not been seen wearing her wedding ring since she was implicated in the Neales’ marriage breakdown.

She was also sporting a bandage on her right wrist as she carried sushi and a bag of grapes to her car.

It comes as her husband, Ben Crosley, posted publicly for the first time since the scandal broke, taking to Instagram this week to declare he is “starting 2026 right” in Bali.

He reposted a number of stories, including a topless picture of himself with friends, on the popular holiday island as they train at luxury gym Bambu Fitness in Uluwatu.

Last week Queensland Police confirmed officers attended the home of Tess and Ben to take possession of a number of items during a welfare check on December 30.

“There is no criminal matter being investigated as such no further information will be provided at this time,” a Queensland Police spokesperson told news.com.au

At this stage it is unknown what items were seized from the home.

Images of the police visit to the couple’s home show Ben speaking to police at the door of his home while his wife Tess is pictured watching on from behind the curtain of an upstairs window.

Other images taken from outside the couple’s home show a police officer carrying a long black case and long fabric bags into the property, which would appear to be for transporting the items that were taken from the house.

Over the New Year’s period, Tess Crosley finally deleted photos of her and the Neales celebrating Brisbane’s grand final victory over Geelong in September, as Jules had requested weeks before.

One photo in particular, showing Crosley’s knee leaning into the Lions star as the two couples celebrated the premiership win, was at the centre of the scandal. That has now been deleted.

She has also deleted several other photos featuring the Neales, but Crosley’s account still features a few snaps of her hanging out with them and some comments that make for awkward reading.

In August, Crosley posted photos with the Neales and another woman at Sirromet Winery in Mount Cotton, along with a Harry Potter Forbidden Forest experience the group attended.

Crosley captioned the photos: “I’m solemnly swear I’m up to no good” in a classic reference to the Harry Potter franchise.

Lachie Neale commented: “Password: Dumbledore.”

Meanwhile, Jules Neale has received support from the partners of fellow Lions players as she looks to move on from the heartbreak, posting a video of a 2026 vision board to Instagram.

The mood board featured messages such as “the love I deserve is on its way,” “I attract love,” and “good things are coming”.

Commenting on TikTok were netballer Tippah Dwan, fiancee of Josh Dunkley; Ella Binney, partner of Jarrod Berry; Caitlin Cameron, wife of Charlie Cameron; Laura Hanlon-Ah Chee, wife of recently departed Callum Ah Chee and Savannah Townsend, partner of Jaspa Fletcher, who wrote: “always that girl!! Iconic”.

Jules also received support from several influencers including Tayla Broad, Lana Wilkinson, Kayla Itsines, Jessica Dover and Kayla Boyd.

Lachie Neale told reporters last week: “I can confirm though with regret that Jules and I have now separated.

“While I won’t go into specifics I can say that I have let my family down and I apologise for my actions that have let done those that are closest to me. And for that I am deeply sorry.
